Join Dr Allmond as she takes our group behind the visual arts scenes in New York City. Students will explore the rich history of visual arts through guided tours, museum exploration, and customized experiences designed by Dr. Allmond.

- Lincoln Center
- Rockefeller Center
- St. Patrick’s Cathedral
- Radio City Music Hall
- 911 Memorial
- Statue of Liberty (via the Staten Island Ferry)
- The Brooklyn Bridge
- Times Square
- Grand Central Station
- Historic New York Public Library—where Winnie the Pooh and his famous friends live!
- Bryant Park
- A Broadway play –yet to be determined
In addition, we’ll enjoy an afternoon Printmaking Workshop at Teachers College, Columbia University and visit the Columbia University Quad and neighborhood
We’ll also talk about taking great photos of NYC’s famous icons as we visit them, and we’ll enjoy lots of NYC famous snacks and foodie spots—including but not limited to Magnolia Bakery, Gray’s Papaya Hot Dogs, John’s Pizza, Junior’s (Cheesecake—yum!!), Shake Shack, Levain’s Bakery (HUGE, delicious cookies!!)…and so much more! We’ll stop and take in the many Public Art installations that we’ll pass along the way, as well, as we explore Manhattan!
As time allows, we may add a visit to Chelsea to check out some galleries, the Highline Park, The Little Island (a new greenspace on the Hudson River!), and/or other trending art spaces in the City.
